Speedform Construction Ltd. is operated and administered from office, workshop and storage premises located within the village of Lydiard Millicent which lies some six miles to the west of Swindon town centre. The company commenced trading from its currrent location in1989, operating under sole trader arrangements and was incorporated as a Limited Company in 1999 to operate as a Partnership.
The core activity of the Company is the manufacture, supply and installation of reinforced concrete structures for the construction and civil engineering industries, supplemented by secondary projects for local private builders and domestic users. The implementation of work related projects will normally be, but not confined to, a distance of 100 miles form the Company premises.
The Company currently consists of the two Partners who are engaged in managerial, sales, accounting, contract and tender review, quantity surveying, risk assesment and method statement preperation and plant hire activities. Both Partners maintain a close liason with up to thirty long established and sub-contracted workforce members who are able to provide direct on-site assistance on a needs basis. By necessity, the majority of manufacturing processes carried out by the Company are performed at the Customers work-site in compliance with specifications designed by the Customers engineers.
The Partners are consistently mindful of the fact that the Company’s ability to provide competitive quotations, problem solving capabilities, compliance with the Customers technical specifcations and the adoption of a first class service are key factors in maintaining its status as sub-contractors to national and regional main contractors.
The Managing Director has accrued over twenty five years of relavent experience in the reinforced concrete industry working at all levels from basic labouring to estimating and quantity surveying. The Company Secretary share equal experience to that of the Manging Director and by mutual agreement the Partners have divided their current Company responsibilties to match their experiance, although a high degree of operational overlap is practised to ensure the smooth running of daily functions.
